About Rheumatology Plus

Carolina Mejia Otero earned her medical degree at Universidad Libre in Cali, Colombia. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center and subsequently completed a fellowship in Rheumatology at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where she also served as Chief fellow. Dr. Mejia Otero has a special interest in Spondyloarthritis, Osteoprosis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Systematic sclerosis and connective tissue disease related interstitial lungs disease.

We understand that living with a rheumatic disease can be challenging, which is why we prioritize compassionate care and personalized treatment plans.
